My private top 10

Hola de nuevo, esta vez va un post de música. Estos días estoy escuchando más música que nunca, prácticamente desde que me levanto hasta que me acuesto. He descubierto una página web donde te bajas un plug-in para tu programa de reproducción y te saca estadisticas semanales, diarias y globales sobre lo que estas oyendo. A mí me sale una cosa, vale, pero luego he pensado un "top ten" del momento, esas canciones que me encantan en este momento y que oigo bastante a menudo (fuera de estadísticas y demás). Ahí van:

Mars !!!!!

La sonda Spirit está actualmente en Marte y tenemos el placer de contemplar el aspecto que tiene nuestro planeta vecino. Paisajes áridos, marrones, de aspecto caluroso y desértico, si no me dijeran que es Marte, podría seguramente apostar que se trata de Almería, el Sahara, o, en un futuro no tan lejano (desgraciadamente), cualquier lugar de la Península Ibérica.
Todos los veranos la misma triste historia de siempre...

Un dicho muy famoso dice que en la época de los romanos una ardilla podía cruzar España de Galicia a Granada o Almería sin pisar el suelo, es decir, de árbol en árbol. ¿Dónde habrán quedado todos esos maravillosos bosques? Lo que sería un sitio como Escandinava se ha jodido completamente. Que sirva de crítica (autocrítica incluso).


The sonde probe Spirit is nowadays in the Mars' surface, and we all have the pleasure of "admire" the aspect of our neighbour planet. Arid, brown landscapes, with a hot and desert aspect, if anybody wouldn't tell me that it is Mars, I would probably bet that it is Almería or the Sahara, or, in future not so far away in time, any place belonging to the Iberic Peninsula.
Summer after summer the same sad story....

A famous saying tells that during the romans time, a squirrel could cross Spain from Galicia to Almería or Granada without stepping on the floor, that is, jumping from tree to tree. Where all that marvellous forests are? What it would be a place like Scandinavia it's fucked up completely.
This must be a critic (even autocritic).

Träskö Island, Finland

Esta es una imagen tomada en Finlandia, en la isla de Träskö, uno de los lugares situados más al sur de este país, concretamente al suroeste de Helsinki. Es una zona de habla sueca en gran parte, de hecho, carteles que aparecen en los 2 idiomas, finés y sueco, en el área de la capital, aquí aparecían sólo en sueco, para nuestra sorpresa. De ahí el nombre de la isla, Träskö, que significa lago, refiriéndose al lago que se encuentra en el interior de la isla, condición que la hace aún más especial. Esta isla es un paraíso natural en toda regla, solo existe una summer cottage, por ello, la isla está normalmente deshabitada, solo en verano se pueden encontrar a aquellos privilegiados que se permiten (y les permiten, ya que la summer cottage pertenece a METLA) una escapada, por supuesto, en barco.
En la isla habitan, entre muchos otros animales, ciervos, y puede que alces también, que gustan de nadar ente isla e isla o incluso entre la costa continental y las islas de este archipiélago. Estos alces europeos, más pequeños que sus parientes norteamericanos, son grandes nadadores.
En ésta isla realicé algunas muy buenas fotos a mi parecer, que espero ir posteando para que todo el mundo disfrute de este paraíso que es Finlandia.

En cuanto a los datos técnicos de la fotografía, decir que el horizonte no esta demasiado horizontal, debido a que no tenía trípode y a que estaba sobre unas rocas también inclinadas. La velocidad de obturación fue de 1/350 y el diafragma f 13, realizadas a ISO 200 con una canon EOS 10 D y un objetivo canon 28-80mm en posición de 28. La toma fue realizada en Mayo de 2005. This a picture that was taken in Finland, in an island called Träskö, one of the southest parts of Finland, specifically in the south-west of Helsinki. It is a swedish speaking area in a big percentage, in fact, road signs or posters that appear in finnish and swedish in the capital area, appeared only in swedish here, for our surprise. Hence the name of the island, Träskö, that means lake, referring to the lake that can be found in the interior of the island, condition that makes it more special. This island is a natural paradise with no doubt, there it only exists a summer cottage, because of that the island is normally unhabitated, only in summer those privileged persons that can afford (or are allowed to do it, because it belongs to METLA) a short trip, by boat, of course.
In the island, among other great number of animals, deers and even elks live. The latter of them like to swim between island and island, or maybe between the continental coast and the islands of this archipielago. Elks (the european specie of the moose) are great swimmers.
There I took some good pictures from my point of view, I hope to post some more and everybody can enjoy this paradise called Suomi.

Referred to the technics used to take the picture, I have to say that the horizont is not so horizontal, caused by the absence of tripod and also because I was over some slanting rocks.
Speed of the shutter was 1/350 and the diafragm f 13, ISO 200, with a canon Eos 10 D and a canon 28-80mm lense at 28. The picture was taken in May, 2005. i hope you will like it.
